Building a little world…
Building some stuff in Paris, still figuring out the rest.
BEHIND THE SCENE
A landscape made of tiny cubes, generated anew each time you visit. Light follows your local time, and the water responds to your pointer.
Three.js and WebGPU bring the landscape, water and atmosphere to life, with WebGL 2 standing in where WebGPU is unavailable. The loading cubes share the landscape’s canvas.
Vite, TypeScript and Tailwind CSS for the site.
Optional field recordings from TRP (water), Nox_Sound (wind), AlanCat (rain), Sclolex (insects), VKProduktion (birds), and Joseph SARDIN (waterfall). Recordings shared under CC0; excerpts edited and softly mixed for this landscape.
Weather from the selected location, Paris by default, shapes the clouds, rain and wind. When unavailable, the landscape picks a random mood.
Weather adapted from Open-Meteo data, under CC BY 4.0. Conditions are interpreted for this miniature world.
